About Allocine and Screenrush



AlloCine is the leading European provider of cinema information and e-commerce services. Founded in 1993 in France, AlloCine is based in Paris and is very well-known by French cinema lovers.

AlloCine wishes to bring a new online cinema experience to British internet users with Screenrush.co.uk, the english version of Allocine.fr.

The key milestones of AlloCine's history are the following:

1993
Launch of AlloCine, first interactive cinema telephone service in France
Adds ticketing to phone service

1997
Introduces allocine.com, first European cinema portal on the Internet

1999
Launch of a free magazine available in Cinemas, AlloCiné Mag

2000
AlloCiné acquired by Canal+ (subsequently Vivendi Universal)

2002
Launch of AlloCine on mobile internet: iMode, Vodafone Live and Orange 2G services

2003
Buy-out from Vivendi by Management and CITA Gestion
Redesign of website and magazine

2004
Launch of HD trailers and DVD category on allocine.com
Launch of 3G "movie channel" on Orange World mobile portal

2005
Addition of TV series content in April
Launch of allocine.co.uk in June

2008
Allocine.co.uk becomes Screenrush.co.uk

AlloCine is managed by Claude Esclatine and Gregoire Lassalle, and has a team of 60 cinema fans.
